hows it goin?

My camera arrived today from Amazon dot com. I picked up the Canon 350D (aka Digital Rebel XT) as my entry point into the Digital SLR game.

I have nothing but good things to say about this camera thus far. I look forward to using it .

I put up some candid fuck-around shots that I took today in my scraps gallery. Hopefully I'll have some more interesting stuff to look at in the very near future.

It's nice to wander into my devART page and find a bunch of people still adding me to their watch list, and adding favorites here and there. For that, I thank you kind folks for cheering me up.

Rumor has it that I may have a camera in my possession very shortly.

On Aug 4, 2001 I signed up for and five years later I'm still around, and I lived to tell about it. In reflection this site did a lot to ignite the artistic side of my being, and it also did a lot to douse the very same flames it started. Luckily there is still an ember or two left in me, but suffice to say the flame that once burned for my artistic expression, and for this site will probably never be as vibrant as it once was.

But is that a bad thing? I think it most certainly opened my eyes to new forms of expression, and gave me the chance to make friends with people from all over the globe. For that, I am great full. I am also great full for all those who find enjoyment in my works, and for those who take inspiration from it. I'm glad I could be apart of your own artistic expression in anyway possible.

Even through I believe I won't be able to capture what I once had from this site, but I'll still keep coming around. Just to say hi, and see how things are going for the rest of you.

Cheers to you, deviantART community. May your experience on this site be as memorable and fulfilling as mine once was. Just remember to let your proverbial artistic fires burn slowly, and don't let them burn you.
